Our story
A local response to local needs
H.E.L.P — Hand to Equip, Learn and Protect — was founded in Akkar, North Lebanon, and officially registered as a Lebanese association under No. 2033 / 2017.
Akkar is one of Lebanon’s most underserved regions and has long hosted communities affected by poverty and displacement. H.E.L.P was created by people from this region who saw the need for safe, child-friendly spaces where children could learn, play and simply be children again.
Today we deliver child protection, psychosocial support, education and recreational activities, and we coordinate with international humanitarian organisations to reach more children with quality services.

A safe, inclusive and resilient Akkar, where every child and young person can learn, grow and reach their full potential in dignity.
Mission
H.E.L.P extends a helping hand to children, youth and families in Akkar. We equip them with practical and life skills, create safe and nurturing spaces for learning and play, and protect their wellbeing and rights — working hand in hand with local communities and humanitarian partners.
